Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 12, 2026 · Effective: August 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Go Live Golf ("Go Live Golf," "we," "us," or "our"), a project operated by Codie Dog Interactive, collects, uses, shares and protects information when you use our website and web app at golivegolf.com (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account details — name, email address, password and role (golfer, spectator or golf pro) when you sign up.
- Golf activity — courses, rounds, hole-by-hole scores, handicap information, games (such as Wolf, skins and Nassau) and the friendly bet amounts you record.
- Profile and social data — the players you follow, comments and any content you post.
- Golf Pro data — for paid Golf Pro accounts, subscription and payout-related details needed to manage membership and commissions.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and device data — pages viewed, actions taken, browser type, device type, and approximate location derived from your IP address.
- Log data — sign-in events, timestamps and technical logs used to keep the Service running securely.
2. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide live scoring, share live round links, and calculate handicaps, game results and who-owes-who settlements;
- Create and manage your account and keep you signed in;
- Send transactional messages such as email verification, password resets and important Service notices;
- Operate Golf Pro memberships, subscriptions and commission payouts;
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot problems;
- Improve and develop new features.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:
- With your group and spectators — scores, game standings and settlement amounts you record are visible to the players in your round and to anyone with your shared live link, which is part of how the Service works.
- Service providers — vendors that host our servers, send our email, or provide handicap data, acting on our instructions.
- Legal reasons — when required by law, to protect our rights, or to prevent fraud or harm.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
4. Games, bets and settlement data
Go Live Golf tracks friendly bets between you and your group and calculates who owes who. We do not process, hold or transfer real wagering money; you settle up among yourselves. Bet and settlement figures you enter are records you and your group create, and are shown to your group and spectators as described above.
5. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences and understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work correctly without them.
6. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account as described below.
7. Your choices and rights
- Access and update — view and edit much of your profile and round data within the app.
- Deletion — request that we delete your account and associated personal data.
- Email preferences — opt out of non-essential emails; we will still send essential account and security messages.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA, including the right to access, correct, delete or port your data. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
