The golf app built for playing Wolf
Go Live Golf is a free golf app that runs the Wolf game for you: it sets the tee rotation, shows who the wolf is on every hole, records partners or a lone wolf, applies handicap strokes, and calculates who owes who at the end of the round.

What is a Wolf golf app?
A Wolf golf app keeps score for the Wolf betting game. It rotates who is the wolf, records whether the wolf picks a partner or plays alone, applies handicap strokes, and totals the money for every player hole by hole.
Wolf is one of the most popular money games for a foursome, and also one of the hardest to keep straight on a paper card. The rotation changes every hole, the value changes when someone goes alone, and strokes depend on each player’s handicap.
Go Live Golf is a mobile-first web app made by golfers who play Wolf every week. It’s available as an iPhone app on the Apple App Store, and it also runs in any phone browser.

How to play Wolf with the Go Live Golf app
Setting up a Wolf round takes about two minutes. After that, every hole is a couple of taps.
Choose Wolf and your course
Start a new round, pick Wolf as the game, then choose the course, the nine or eighteen holes, and the tees you are playing.
Add players and set the tee order
Add your group and drag them into the tee order. The app rotates the wolf from that order on every hole.
Set the bet and the extras
Pick the base bet and switch on the house rules your group uses — doubles, re-doubles, birdies double or lone wolf doubles.
Pick a partner or go alone
After the tee shots the wolf picks a partner or goes lone wolf. Enter scores and the app calculates the hole, including handicap strokes.
Settle up at the end
When the round ends you get the fewest payments that square everyone, with a one-tap Venmo option.
Everything a Wolf game needs, done for you
The parts of Wolf that cause arguments — whose turn it is, who got a stroke, what a doubled lone wolf is worth — are handled by the app.
Wolf rotation
The app knows who the wolf is on every hole and who tees off first, based on the order you set.
Running money totals
Every hole updates each player's plus or minus, so the whole group always knows where it stands.
Handicap strokes
Strokes are applied by stroke index from each player's handicap and the tees played, or use a low-ball stroke-off.
Live share link
Friends and family follow the Wolf game and the money live from one link, without an account.
Voice setup and scoring
Say “Wolf, front nine, ten dollar bet” to set up, or “I made 5, Chris 4, Matt par” to score.
AI Rules Bot
Ask a USGA rules question on the tee and get a plain-English answer before the argument starts.
Which Wolf options can you turn on?
Every group plays Wolf a little differently. These are the round-level options the app supports today, so your house rules are scored the way you actually play.
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Lone wolf doubles | When the wolf plays alone against the other three, the hole is worth double. |
| Birdies double | A birdie doubles the value of the hole. |
| Allow doubles | The team on the hole can double the bet. |
| Allow re-doubles | The wolf can double back after a double. |
| Base bet | The dollar value of a hole before any doubling, such as $5, $10 or $20. |
| Handicap mode | Full handicaps by stroke index, or a low-ball stroke-off where the lowest index plays scratch. |

Why use an app for Wolf instead of a scorecard?
A paper card works until somebody goes lone wolf on a hole where two players get a stroke. Here is what changes when the app keeps score.
| Task | Paper scorecard | Go Live Golf |
|---|---|---|
| Tracking who is the wolf | Someone has to remember | Shown on every hole |
| Handicap strokes | Look up stroke index by hand | Applied automatically |
| Doubles and lone wolf | Easy to miscount | Calculated per hole |
| Money at the end | Napkin math in the parking lot | Fewest payments, one-tap Venmo |
| Friends watching | Not possible | Live link, no account needed |
Frequently asked questions
Is there a free app for playing Wolf in golf?
Yes. Go Live Golf is free for golfers. You can host unlimited Wolf rounds with live scoring, handicaps and automatic settle-up at no cost. Only the optional Golf Pro membership is paid.
Does the app handle lone wolf and doubling?
Yes. You can turn on lone wolf doubles, birdies double, allow doubles and allow re-doubles for the round. The app applies whichever extras you choose when it calculates each hole.
How many players can play Wolf in the app?
Wolf is usually played with four golfers, and the app also supports three- and five-player groups. A Wolf round needs at least two players to start.
Does Go Live Golf use handicaps in Wolf?
Yes. It applies each player's strokes hole by hole using the stroke index and the course rating and slope for the tees you pick. You can also play a low-ball stroke-off, where the lowest index plays scratch.
Does Go Live Golf process real-money bets?
No. It tracks friendly bets inside your group and tells you who owes who. You settle among yourselves; the app never holds or processes wagers.
